We’ve been to Bangkok (Krung Tep) many times, exploring and
discovering all sorts of amazing things in Bangkok has to offer. We’ll be posting about our past travel adventures in Bangkok and Ayuthaya soon
(hopefully), so we thought we’d neatly organise them by putting up a post
solely on food (restaurants/eateries recommendation, what and how to order).
After returning from any trips, we often reflect, browse through our
photos and realise that by far the most memorable experiences we had all
revolved around food. Being a food obsessed individual; we often grab our
spoons and explore every little corner whenever we travel! While walking the
sidewalk near to the BTS stations around Bangkok, we were blasted with
irresistible aromas from either a street stall or from the restaurants nearby.
So, we continue with an extension of our Thailand series, which we
will share some of our memorable dining experiences and favourite eating places
in this beautiful Land of Smiles. If you love Thai food and food hunting, so this
post is for you!
So, here's the list of our favourite eateries spots in town during our recent visit to Bangkok: **Also, be sure that we will continue to update the growing list of new eating places on our next/future visits.

As recommended by most travel sites, we visited Taling Pling with no

basically deep fried that’s topped with fish sauce. The crispy edges of the
fish are delicious and definitely quite addictive. We both ended up virtually
finishing the entire piece. Also, recommended are their signature Fried Rice

Description: Thong Lo Street Food Night Market
located at Sukhumvit Soi 38 is definitely
a place not to be missed when you’re in Bangkok. We found this place back in
2010 (during one of Chengy’s working trip to Bangkok). This place offers a
great initiation into Thai street food. Located just a few steps from Thong Lo
BTS station, the food here is tasty, cheap and arrives quickly. Most stall
menus are in English making it easy to make your choice. Their Rolled Rice
Noodle in Herb Soup with Pork and Boiled Egg is our all-time favourite, the
standard is definitely good enough to rival if not surpass the good ones we
have in Penang. Besides the rolled rice noodles, don’t miss their Rice with
Stewed Pork Limb / Knuckle which is tenderly cooked and melt-in-your-mouth. The
Thai Noodle Sweet Dessert, an ice-cold concoction of rich coconut milk, red
beans, diced water-chestnuts and tri-colour Thai noodles with palm syrup is
definitely a must-try. You’ll be begging for more! Overall, we had a ton of fun
trying many local foods here. We think it’s still a great place for tourist to
quickly gain exposure to the many different types of Thai food in Bangkok.
Price: 50 Baht – 80 Baht
Without any fancy look, this local specialty is definitely a must-try when you're in Bangkok |
This local delicacy will lead you astray with temptation! |
Remember to try Bangkok's street desserts at Thong Lo |

Bangkok. With such a reputation, expect to find at least some similar stalls
nearby selling the same kind of chicken rice. The queue for take-away and
