And our journey in Khao Yai continues….
The surrounding area is gorgeous
The entire area is surrounded by mountains and plenty of greenery
Morning view from our tent
Lake views outside our tent
A family-friendly resort. We had a great time here
On the third day of our trip, we checked-in to Lala Mukha Tented Resort. Staying in a tent is the first time experience for both of us. There are plenty of things you can do in Lala Mukha to relax far away from city life. Enjoy Mother Nature, swimming in an infinity pool and many more. At Lala Mukha Tented Resort, you can choose to stay in a tent with public shared bathroom (our choice), or choose the deluxe tent with en-suite bathroom or even stay in a loft tree house. The shared bathrooms weren’t too far away from the tents, were modernly designed and clean! The cost of this accommodation is the most expensive among our 4nights. With the plenty of facilities, great food and serene nature atmosphere, I think the price is worth the paying.
We had fun experiencing glamping for the first time

On the fourth day of our trip, we engaged a private driver for a half-day wildlife tour in Khao Yai National Park. The tour started in the morning, around 9.30am  and ended around 2.30pm. The park is truly amazing. It’s filled with lush flora and fauna, tons of birds, waterfalls, beautiful hikes, a few wild animals, and most importantly is empty of tourists.

This tour brought us to a few places like Saisorn Reservoir, Khao Yai Training Center, Lam Takhong Camping Ground, Jao Pho Khao Khiao Shrine, Pha Diao Dai (Lonely Cliff) Viewpoint and Heo Suwat Waterfall. The driver also drove us along the roads on search for elephants and other exiting animals like deer, monkeys and elephants. The view from the cliff was magnificent and we had a short trekking in the forest and, seeing wild animals. Overall, it was indeed a refreshing and peaceful experience for the three of us! If you love nature and spot wild animals, then Khao Yai is for you! Remember to check out Khao Yai Nature and Wildlife Tour with Klook and immerse yourself with the untouched beauty of nature.

After settling down at Watermill Resort, we spent our family leisure time at the resort. It’s an amazing place to spend an afternoon near exquisite waters as well as for picnic. The entire resort was all surrounded by trees and greens, pristine and crystal waters, really gorgeous! Towards the evening, we went out for a simple dinner at Khrua Mae Pranom Restaurant along Pak Chong, as recommended by a local hotel staff. Reasonable price but nothing exceptional!
Smiles for the camera
Beautifully decorated green garden. Definitely a place for family retreat
We loved the place, open space with natural setting. It was a great place to relax and unwind
The Watermill Resort with a wooden watermill
There are so much to do here at the river banks - swimming, kayaking, fish feeding, and other water activities
One of his favourite - daily fish feeding at the river banks
Beautiful landscape. The ground of this resort is so peaceful and beautiful

Following that, we visited The Chocolate Factory in Khao Yai for some dessert. The Chocolate Factory is an Italian restaurant and chocolate shop; with the chocolatier leaded by Chef Eric Perez, a Chef from France. The chocolate here is freshly made daily; using the finest and best ingredients imported from Belgium, France and Switzerland. This a great place for a relaxing tea.

The following day was our final day in Khao Yai. After breakfast, we spent some family moment in the resort before heading to Saraburi. Our plan for that day was to hunt for more sunflowers in Saraburi. It was about nearly2 hours’ long drive from Khao Yai and unfortunately, there wasn’t any sunflower when we had arrived there. We were told by locals that the sunflowers had already been harvested. We couldn’t easily see any sunflowers by the road that we supposed to. We were left with a feeling of disappointment and ended our journey in Khao Yai and return to hazy Bangkok!

Thank you Khao Yai for this peaceful and breathtaking vacation!
